SUNDAY IS FOR POETRY: A Woman's Worth

They talk about a woman's sphere

As though it had a limit;

There's not a place in earth or Heaven

There's not a task to mankind given,

There's not a blessing or a woe,

There's not a whispered yes or no,

There's not a life, or death, or birth,

That has a feather's weight of worth --

Without a woman in it.

hahaha, K.! I never really cared for that song. It was just too in your face. I mean, if you see me, and can't figure out I'm a woman...

hmmm, I notice no guys commented on this. At least I think that to be true. So, to represent the other side, I'll thank you for at least including woe.

LOL

Ah, give credit where credit is due and it's true, this poem. I think its true for men too, but then I have this view that we're all in it together.

Keep the poems coming pv.

Thank you, ML's! :))

I can definitely see your pov, PV! But I was in the mood to celebrate womanhood! One day, I'll write a poem as a tribute to men! How's that? :))
