This is "To All the Good Friends I've Known"

Please pause playlist on bottom of page and click on link to hear "One of These Days"

"One Of These Days"

One of these days,
I'm gonna sit down
and write a long letter
To all the good friends I've known
And I'm gonna try
And thank them all
for the good times together.
Though so apart we've grown.

One of these days,
I'm gonna sit down
and write a long letter
To all the good friends I've known
One of these days,
one of these days,
one of these days,
And it won't be long, it won't be long.

And I'm gonna thank,
That old country fiddler
And all those rough boys
Who play that rock 'n' roll
I never tried to burn any bridges
Though I know I let some good things go.

One of these days,
I'm gonna sit down
and write a long letter
To all the good friends I've known
One of these days,
one of these days,
one of these days,
And it won't be long, it won't be long.

From down in L.A.
All the way to Nashville,
From New York City
To my Canadian prairie home
My friends are scattered
Like leaves from an old maple.
Some are weak, some are strong.

One of these days,
I'm gonna sit down
and write a long letter
To all the good friends I've known
One of these days,
one of these days,
one of these days,
And it won't be long, it won't be long.

One of these days,
one of these days,
one of these days,
And it won't be long, it won't be long.

I clicked on the link to listen to the song, but lost your blog when I closed the page. Had to sign in again to comment. A nice song though. K.

Really, K.?

YouTube didn't have him performing this song, and, surprisingly, playlist.com didn't even list the song.

This was an alternative, but what a bummer if one loses my blog when leaving the page.

I'll try to think of another way.
Thanks for letting me know, K.

Am glad you got to hear the song. And thank you for going through the trouble of signing back in to leave a comment! :))

Love it! I hate players on these blogs...it is very hard to load the blog and they have to be paused for most entries.

I truly related to "One of these Days", Sandy! Now that things are more settled, am looking forward to "Up in the Air." hahaha, Sandy! Ask Santa for George next Christmas! ;)

They are, aren't they, Enzie? Hope you heard the song! :))

Love Neil's voice, Dianne! He sings the most gentle to some pretty heavy rock n roll! ;)

I'm so glad I read through before clicking the link because (I'm sorry!) I really can't stand Neil Young's voice!

But I loved the lyrics. So warming.

Am going to write a really long letter, to all the good friends, I've known, Tipper! :))

So do I, MZ! From the beginning when he was with Crazyhorse and Crosby, Stills, ansd Nash! Loved their edgy harmonies! :))

hahaha, Jay! I adore Bob Dylan, but couldn't listen to his Christmas album! His voice has really shriveled over the years! So understand! ;)
