Pause playlist at bottom of page to hear video.

John Denver's music seemed to emanate everywhere this past weekend. Perhaps Mother Nature was feeling proud.

The Loyal Friend and Visitor Award

Thank you Tammy for the Loyal Friend and Visitor Award! It's lovely and means so much! What would drive us to blog without our loyal friends and visitors!

I would like to pass this award along to all of my loyal friends and visitors! Without you, blogging would have no meaning!

SUNDAY IS FOR POETRY: Hysteria

The noose dangles

The gun's cocked

The water's deep

The razor's sharp.

The speeding train heads towards me

while I hallucinate my way out.

Stunned at the impact of your saving tackle,

yet satisfied;

my face is where it belongs

in the now wet, red dirt.

These scrapes are nothing

to the scars

my psyche must bear.

Dear God, I'm scared.

I'm fading

in the growing dark.

The noose dangles

The gun's cocked

The water's deep

The razor's sharp.

Thank God!
I feel you beside me.
