SUNDAY IS FOR POETRY: I Dig

I dig
Way deep.
Way way deep
within me.
For hours, months, even years
in search where all is still, peaceful.
He does something.
She says something.
Something happens.
And the many selves of myself dug up
cave in and bury my resting place.
I dig. Again.

Wow! That is powerful and yet still pretty if you know what I mean.

Wonderful. Yes, the trick while digging is to figure out how to shore up the walls as you go. I don't think I've figured out quite how yet, but I'm sure it can be done.

We're all just perpetually digging, aren't we?

Great poem, Petra!

Petra-very powerful-and meaningful. Exactly how you feel in a stormy relationship-you build it up and think it's going to hold-until the next inccident happens.
