SUNDAY IS FOR POETRY: Second

Motionless, I run to you.

Alone, I lie in your arms.

Frightened, your music calms me.

Hungry, your love sates me.

Ready to give up, your words stead me.

Being second isn't easy,

But I continue to dream.

Being the second and being in the middle - is where all the action is, my dear friend, all the action and all the sorrows!
I have posted the last ever love note I received. Do read.

Keep dreaming. What else is there to do? One day, it will be the dream you knew was there all along.

Beautiful-and bittersweet Petra. I like Eric1313's comment-he's right you have to keep dreaming and hoping.

Thanks for dropping by Small Reflections recently. Sorry it's taken me a while to visit. I'm so far behind on everything I may never catch up, but I'm doing what I can bit by bit. I do recall visiting you when you just started blogging ... and reading some of your poetry and looking at the images I'm impressed with your progress. Way to go. This one is amazing ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

As a realist, this poem speaks to me about dedication. Nicely done.
