Peter of Detectives Beyond Borders has recently tagged me to list authors I have read for the first time in 2008. I'm more than happy to participate. Where would we be without our authors. Those who have warmed us, thrilled us, frightened us. Some have changed perceptions of ourselves and the world.
Some I've read are:
John McFedtridge (still reading)
Declan Burke (still reading)
Thich Nhat Hanh
The Dalai Lama
D.T. Suzuki
Isabelle Allende
Gustav Flaubert
Daphne duMaurier
Anton Chekhov
James Redfield
Those I'm tagging are:
Archie at Archies Archive
Joyce at Following the Little God
Chandini at Reading, writing and more
Poetikat at Poetikat's Invisible Keepsakes
There are a few rules:
1) List the authors that were new to you this year, regardless of year of publication.
2) Boldface those which were debuts (first novel published in 2008).
3) Tag as few or as many others as you'd like.
Thank you all! Am looking forward to reading your lists. Petra :))

Oh goody. An intelligent meme. I'll be working on this but it is a little hard as I have been away from my library for the past five months so it will have to be from memory. I'll have something up in a couple of days.
Who's that Dalai Lama dude? Does he write noir?
