SUNDAY IS FOR POETRY: Hope

Cruel is pain
Is it ever kind?
Nor wanes
whilst fuels the mind.
Minds.
Full of anger, remiss.
Remind the harbored fury,
amiss.
Attack.
Show no mercy
for the slack,
for the controversy.
Love's rays, held in abeyance,
bedecked in tears,
eventually penetrate,
displace fears.
So hark, take heart.
Capture love's rays.
There's hope.

"Loves rays" - nice image - Alas, the prism of the heart splits love into its component parts - not all are comfortable yellows and greens and blues.

Excellent thoughts!!

Cold is pain, hot burns anger, but love is warmth, it neither burns nor freezes.

Petra-the very thoughts that have been on my mind since Sunday. Its easy to agree with the words of your beautiful poem with my mind-but so hard to let love win out over hate in my heart.
