Jealousy is a silent, secret wish
To change what I am not
To what I never will be.
Long gone is my curly, black hair
And dark brown eyes
That could not see
My wish to be,
Maria.

Nice poem Petra!
I have thanked sandy for introducing me to your blogs. I pretend to write a little poetry (along with a lot of extremely evil limericks) although I cannot pretend to match your output. I'm adding you to my blogroll so that I may return often.
I LOVE this one!
Hello You !
Beautiful poem
And pretty girl...
Wow what a switch ??I now see another side of you hahahahah
Who is on the photo ???
Smile...
Hi, Petra! Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. I should say that I aspire to be more illustrator than writer. Also, I like your taste in music!
do you suppose we will ever grow out of wishing and wanting what and who we will never be or have ...?
Petra, just stopping by to meet you back. Thanks for stopping by, I'll visit often.
Jealousy gives off positive vibes, Petra you need'nt fight it. All of us go thro it. And in a poem - well, it breathes fire!
Loved it Petra. I always wanted to be an Indian Princess or a Spanish Senorita. All I got were the eyes. I guess its the way of life to want what we don't have.
That is quite good. It brings to mind an elderly lady thinking of her youth.
This one made me think "is this autobiographical?" but then your hair isn't black.
nice work
Lovely poem--and boy, have I been there.
Thank you so much for visiting me and your very kind words. I'm so glad you found me because then I could visit you! What a beautiful site and your music is great too.
I'll be back to read more of your writing for sure!
Have a great weekend!
that's a lovely thought my friend,
and when it goes it's gone!
Wonderful! Your poems are all things we can relate to.
