SUNDAY IS FOR POETRY: Maria

Jealousy is a silent, secret wish
To change what I am not
To what I never will be.

Long gone is my curly, black hair
And dark brown eyes
That could not see
My wish to be,
Maria.

I have thanked sandy for introducing me to your blogs. I pretend to write a little poetry (along with a lot of extremely evil limericks) although I cannot pretend to match your output. I'm adding you to my blogroll so that I may return often.

Hi, Petra! Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. I should say that I aspire to be more illustrator than writer. Also, I like your taste in music!

Jealousy gives off positive vibes, Petra you need'nt fight it. All of us go thro it. And in a poem - well, it breathes fire!

Loved it Petra. I always wanted to be an Indian Princess or a Spanish Senorita. All I got were the eyes. I guess its the way of life to want what we don't have.

That is quite good. It brings to mind an elderly lady thinking of her youth.

This one made me think "is this autobiographical?" but then your hair isn't black.
